Ever increasing Life

The Blessing is Yours Already

God did not create us to chase things or blessings. God has made things in such a way that life is in phases so as we grow, the level we reach comes with whatever blessing it is purposed for. He placed blessings at certain levels and places and all what you need to do is to develop yourself into that person and the blessing runs to you. More importantly, not forcing things to happen does not mean to sit back, rather you need to advance in your knowledge of THE WORD.

The law of Gravitation says there’s an attraction between two things in the universe. In other words, anything you are looking for, is also looking for you. It was just programmed for a version of you. So, in order to enjoy an ever increasing life, keep growing and improving yourself, and you will walk into the blessings apportioned to you.

As we saw in Genesis 1:28, we are mandated as Christians to be ‘fruitful and multiply’. Being fruitful and multiplying is to advance, to grow, to increase. God expects you to be EVER INCREASING.  It is not enough to wake up, walk about and go to bed, not making an impact or achieving goals. You need to progress, your life needs to advance, you need to be on a continuous move, ever increasing.

There is no excuse for your Stagnation

There is no excuse to remain stagnant, you should be on the move, ever- increasing. It is your RESPONSIBILITY to work on self so as to achieve what you want. YOU ARE THE REASON FOR WHAT YOU LACK OR HAVE. This is why you must work hard on developing yourself. It takes 4 years to achieve a degree or certificate for a better paying job. In the same way, it takes time to build confidence; it takes time to build stamina for a race.

ever increasing year

How can you achieve an ever increasing 2021?

Many start the year with various goals and resolution. However, they fall off along the way due to various reasons. This trend has led to numerous people coming to the  conclusion of not making a resolution.

HAD A DIFFICULT YEAR?

These are reasons for having a difficult year and people’s inability to achieve their goals:

  1. They do not have a solid why?
  2. Not writing it down.
  3. They did not see it everyday to focus on it
  4. Lacking an accountability partner. A trustworthy friend who can tell the truth

Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.

Habakkuk 2:2

1. Write Your Goals Down

It is possible that the previous years have been difficult because you have not committed to writing your goals down. Rather, what we do is that we think about it and talk about for a while. However, we fail to spend time writing them down. It is important to understand that the process of writing your goals or resolutions is in itself part of achieving your goals. This is because it gives you the opportunity to be able think through the process to achieve your goals.

The mind is very powerful and can retain as much information as possible but you may end up forgetting what you resolved to do because you get so preoccupied with other events along the way. This is why you must develop the habit of writing your goals down if you are going to have an ever increasing life.

2. Have a solid WHY.

An ever-increasing year may not become a reality due to you not having enough motivation to keep going when the going get tough. For this reason, you must carefully outline the solid reasons behind your goals. You need to answer the 4 WHYS. What I mean here is that ask yourself why 4 times.

Firstly, ask yourself why you want this. As an example, I want to be able to pray for 20 hours in a week. In this case, the first why will be on why I want to pray for 20 hours a week. My answer will be that I want to have heavenly interactions. Secondly, I have to answer why I want heavenly interactions. This is my second why. The answer is that those men who did great things for God in the Bible also had heavenly encounters.

The third why is to find out why the people in the Bible had to have an encounter before the Lord used them. The fourth why is the reason you actually want it. The ability to answer this is what ensures your commitment to the goal. You should want and justify why you want a particular goal. Knowing or acknowledging why you want something would motivate and draw you to your vision.

3. Make it plain and focus

Habakkuk 2:2 makes us understand that we need to make our vision plain so the we may run with it. An ever increasing year is a continuous process. the reason you are not achieving your goals is because you don’t see it every day to focus on it. This means that you are not visualizing it enough. You need to see clearly what you want and make it happen.

Make it your priority to have a vision board. You can write it on your doors or have it printed on your mirrors; and make sure your vision is clear and visible.

Also, you need to have goals that are SMART. As much as possible ensure you understand the goal and how you intend to achieve it.

4. Be Accountable

Very few people can achieve greatness without accountability. This is why you need an accountability partner. Iron sharpens Iron (Proverbs 27:17). You need someone to be a check on you. Find someone who can be a check and you can do same. The person should be firm. The make or break to achieving an ever-increasing year is this. This person should walk the length with you. You should be open for correction and checks. It’s advisable to be trustworthy and accountable to each other periodically (James 5 :16). Its does not have to be a long meeting but it’s important to meet and run through your goals, speak about your challenges and successes. For this to work trust and confidence should be established.

An accountability partner may be a spouse but ideally, have someone you can settle issues with without having a problem
