HOW TO SHARE YOUR FAITH WITH OTHERS?

Why are you afraid to share your faith in school?

It is very important for us to share our faith because the Bible says that the whole earth lies in wickedness (1John 5:-9), and for this Jesus came for the purpose of destroying evil works.

The best thing you can do for a colleague is not helping them to get a job. Rather, it is helping them to overcome every wickedness they are facing in their lives and the times ahead of them.

These could be sickness, depression, accidents, premature deaths and the like. These things are spiritual and only respond to the power of God. This is where sharing your faith comes in.

So, sharing your faith is very important.

Let me share with you a formula to help you so that you will be bold enough to share your faith.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

The reason why you are afraid is because you are operating in the spirit of fear. If that is the case, it means that:

You don’t have power.

God gives us power. That means in order to boost share our faith, we must develop power. The reason why we are finding it difficult is because we have doubts. The Lord has given us a three-pronged approach to fighting fear: power, love and a sound mind. This is how we overcome fear.

How do we develop power?

The presence of the Holy Spirit brings power.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.””

Acts‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Step 1: You need to be filled with the Holy Ghost and Faith to be a soul winner.

“for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord.”

Acts‬ ‭11:24‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Believe in the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told his disciples to wait in order to receive power before they became witnesses. This means that if you do not have power, you must wait in order to be filled with power before you begin to share your faith.

So, if you want to bear witness in your workplace you need God to work with you, bearing witness to your message. Spend time with God in the mornings and allow the spirit of God to fill you. And then, go on to share your faith in the power of God.

Step 2: You grow in power by overwhelming the flesh.

“For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.”

Romans‬ ‭8:13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

See also: 2 Corinthians 12:9

In order for the Holy Spirit to flow through you, you must allow the Holy Spirit to overwhelm the flesh. This is how to kill the flesh. It is only when the flesh is subdued that the life of God will flow through you.

Step 3: Develop a prayer life of waiting on God.

“but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭ESV‬‬

There are different types of prayers: intercession, supplication, and a few others. But this kind of prayer is just to wait on God so that you can know him more.

In this type of prayer, it’s not about intercession. Rather, it comes with a kind of power that renews. This prayer strengthens you for exploits (Daniel 11:21).

Practice having an all night with God just to know him more.

Step 4: Pray for Healing or Holy Ghost baptism when you share your faith

You will be flowing with power by the time you get to step 3. So, this is how to cause the power to be made manifest. Pray for the sick. You can also pray for them to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Do not worry about it not working. If you are focusing on it not working it means that you are looking to take the glory. But all the glory goes to God, and so, he backs his word.

If you do not see it instantly, believe that it has already began.

Steps to pray for healing

  • Go. Get up and go. Find someone in your neighborhood or if you have to host a meeting online, go ahead, believing that God is with you.
  • If there’s an obvious sickness, lay your hands and cast the sickness out
  • Thank God for healing the person. You must thank God in faith, knowing that God has done it.
  • Ask if they felt anything or let them take an action. The healing happens in the action.
  • Give glory to God and point the person to the Healing Jesus. You are not the healer. God is the healer.

Why? You don’t show love so develop love

The proof of love is in giving. God loved us so much that he gave his Son for our salvation (John 3:16).

Step 5: Have a list of people every year God is going to use you to help them MKLS God

Pray to God and prayerfully put down names of people that you would want God to use you in blessing them.

Step 6: Love them by praying for them

One of the ways to demonstrate love is to invest in prayer for these people. Therefore, show love for them by spending time in prayer for them. Spend time to pray for the salvation of those who are yet to be saved, and also for their destinies.

Step 7: Love them by giving them your money.

Another important way of showing love is by giving them money. This is because it is a blessing. So, show love towards them through your giving.

Step 8: Love them by giving them time.

This means that you have to plan it in your schedule to speak to them. It is always important to spend time talking with them.

Developing sound mind

The antidote for lack of confidence is preparation, 1 Peter 3:15

Prepare your testimony because you are a witness. Acts 1:8

Your message = your testimony + your life lessons + the Good News

Step 9: prepare your testimony

  1. What my life was like before I met Jesus
  2. How I realized I needed Jesus
  3. How I committed my life to Jesus
  4. The difference Jesus has made in my life

step 10: prepare your life lessons

  • What has God taught me from failure?
  • What has God taught me from a lack of money?
  • What has God taught me from pain or sorrow or depression?
  • What has God taught me through waiting?
  • What has God taught me through illness?
  • What has God taught me from disappointment?
  • What have I learned from my family, my church, my relationships, my small group, and my critics?

Step 11: prepare the good news message

A – Admit you are a sinner (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23)

B – Believe Jesus Christ came to die for your sins and rose again (Romans 10:9-10)

C – Confess Jesus Christ as Lord over your life (Romans 10:9-10)
